Prices are shown on every free cell before you buy: open the grid of the location you want and the price of each cell is written on it. Everything on this page explains how those numbers are formed. All prices are in US dollars and include no hidden fees — what the order page shows is what is charged.
What you pay for
A spot is a rectangle of cells in the grid of one location. The price of a rectangle is the sum of the prices of its cells, so a bigger banner costs proportionally more.
Why cells differ in price
- Position: the higher the row, the more expensive the cell — the first row is seen by everyone who opens the page, the tenth by those who scroll.
- Location: a grid in a city of ten million costs more than a grid in a city of two hundred thousand. Cities are grouped into three tiers by population, and the price of an individual country or city can be set separately.
Billing options
- Monthly subscription — a year in twelve payments. The price is fixed for the whole term: it cannot change while the subscription runs. After twelve payments the spot is offered for renewal at the price current then.
- One month without a subscription — the same spot for a single month, at the monthly price plus 20%. Nothing is charged again, and the cells return to sale when the month ends. Payable by card, with no account anywhere.
- Yearly — twelve months for the price of ten, paid once.
- Buyout — the spot is held for a fixed long term stated at the moment of purchase.
Discounts
A promo code can be entered on the order page before payment: it lowers the total by a percentage or by a fixed amount, and the order page shows the discount and the final amount before you are sent to the payment provider. Partners of the referral programme also receive a share of what they refer, which can be spent on their own spots.
Taxes and currency
Amounts are charged in US dollars. If your card or PayPal account is in another currency, your bank converts it at its own rate. Sales tax, VAT or GST due on the purchase is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay; it is collected and remitted by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Any other tax that applies to you as a business is your own matter.
Refunds
A payment can be refunded under the conditions described on the Refund and cancellation policy page.
